Job Function: Full-Time Crew Worker – Parks
Job Location: Cedar Lake Parks Department; 7408 Constitution Avenue, Cedar Lake, IN 46303
Compensation: This position has a maximum hourly rate of $23.28. The rate for this position will be commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include health insurance with medical, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and participation in the Indiana Public Retirement System as well as paid time off and vacation. The Town of Cedar Lake has an employee assistance program through Franciscan Health.
Job Summary: The Town of Cedar Lake Parks Department Crew Worker is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of all parks open spaces, facilities, and equipment. Including cleaning and maintaining facilities, shelters, and restrooms as well as replenishing appropriate supplies. Performs specialized projects as assigned.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Education and/or experience in recreation-related activities
- At least one (1) year of experience in landscaping-related activities
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using a zero-turn lawnmower
- General knowledge of power tools, trimmer, and light duty trucks
