Investigations

Responsibilities
The Detective Bureau conducts follow-up investigations of reported crimes within the Town. These investigations may include collecting and processing evidence, issuing subpoenas, complaints, and warrants, and conducting interviews. Investigations also target illegal drug sales and other unlawful activities. Cedar Lake Detectives work with County, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies to share information and utilize the various resources these other agencies offer.
