Park Improvement Project Announcements
Lynnsway Park
Get ready to enjoy the outdoors like never before! A stunning 20 x 36-foot Timber Truss Shelter will be built in the summer of 2026, offering much-needed shade and inviting spaces for friends and families to gather. Perfect for picnics, relaxation, and making memories, this new shelter will elevate the park experience and create a welcoming hub for everyone to enjoy.
Robins Nest Park
Exciting enhancements are on the way to Robin’s Nest Park! The playground will be expanded to include a new four-bay swing set, creating more opportunities for children to play, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors. This addition will help accommodate more families and enhance the overall play experience. The project is anticipated to be completed in Spring 2026—just in time for a season full of fun.
Cedar Crest Park
Tree and stump removal will continue throughout the park as weather permits. This ongoing work is an important step in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for visitors. Removing damaged trees and remaining stumps helps improve visibility, enhance accessibility, and support ongoing improvements—ensuring a safe, green space for everyone to enjoy.
Kiwanis Park
This spring, two concrete cornhole sets will be installed, providing a fun and interactive playing area for park visitors. Whether you’re stopping by for a game or enjoying time at the new shelter—which is available to rent for your next gathering—these sets are perfect for friendly competition and outdoor fun.
Monastery Clubhouse
The Monastery Clubhouse will also feature two new concrete cornhole sets, enhancing the visitor experience with fun, casual play. The Clubhouse remains a popular spot for hosting large gatherings, and these sets make it even more enjoyable for friends and family to connect and have fun outdoors.
Potawatomi Park
Park Access
We’re improving access to the park for visitors arriving by vehicle! Once the existing structure is removed, construction will begin on a brand-new paved parking lot, making it easier and more convenient for patrons to enjoy everything the park has to offer. This upgrade will enhance accessibility, improve traffic flow, and provide a safer, more welcoming arrival experience for everyone.
Lookout Point
Get ready to take in the beauty of the lake! This spring, a newly rehabilitated deck will be installed at Lookout Point, providing a safe and inviting spot to enjoy the fabulous views. Whether you’re pausing for a moment of relaxation or capturing the perfect photo, the upgraded deck will make your visit even more memorable.
Park of the Red Cedars (Town Grounds)
Walking Path
A new 6-foot-wide asphalt walking path will be installed around the perimeter of the park, creating a smooth, accessible route for walking, jogging, and enjoying the outdoors. This addition will enhance safety, improve connectivity throughout the park, and provide a welcoming space for visitors of all ages and abilities to stay active. The project is anticipated to be completed before June 1, 2026—just in time for summer enjoyment.
Community Garden Expansion
Exciting growth is happening at the Community Garden! An additional raised garden bed, along with new landscaping enhancements, will be added this year next to the existing garden. Interested in getting involved? Please reach out to the Park Office if you’re interested in becoming a garden volunteer—we’d love to have you join us!
Gazebo Landscape Enhancements
Twelve arborvitae trees will be planted near the gazebo, creating a beautiful, natural frame for the perfect lake view. The gazebo is ideal for renting for your next special moment, or you can simply stop by to relax and enjoy one of the best views of the lake in the park.
