Meeting Minutes

Call to Order

The meeting of the Lowell-Cedar Lake Joint Management and Oversight Board (JMOB) was called to order at 1:00 p.m. by Chairman Ed Robinson.

Members Present

• Ed Robinson, Chairman (Cedar Lake)
• Mark Downey, Consulting Engineer from Lowell
• Dr. Christopher Burke, Consulting Engineer from Cedar Lake
• Terry Wright, from Lowell
• Sandra Joseph, from the Burke firm
• Greg Shook, Lowell Public Works Director (arrived about 1:20 p.m.)

Also Present

• Media: Times reporter and Cedar Lake Journal reporter

Agenda Approval

Dr. Burke made a motion to approve the agenda as submitted, seconded by Mark Downey. The motion carried by voice vote.

Approval of Minutes

Dr. Burke made a motion to approve the minutes of the February 27, 2007 meeting, seconded by Mark Downey. Motion was carried by voice vote.

Superintendent's Report

February, March, April Operations

Terry Wright, Superintendent Public Works, gave report which are attached and made a part hereof. Ernst Builders has constructed a pole barn in the sludge holding area. There is still some concrete work to be done. The lining has been completed. There has been about 13.4 inches of rain this year. The EQ basins were used, drained and cleaned all three months.

Lowell Engineer's Report

Mark mentioned very little to report. The pole barn has been completed as Terry stated. This was the last item to be completed according to the change orders. There will be some final close out with the SRF monies. The building was run through the capital monies that were borrowed. The painting and minor issues will be run through the operations.

Cedar Lake Engineer's Report

Dr. Burke mentioned that we would like more information regarding the McMahon report per our consultants London Witte.

The Cedar Lake Town Council would like to tour the treatment plant some time. We are to figure out a date and time for those interested.

• August 14th - Lowell Town Hall
• November 13th - Cedar Lake Town Hall

All meetings to start at 1:00 p.m. unless changes are made.

Also, received calibration data sheets and IDEM reports.

New Business

2007 Budget

Not really a budget. This was provisionally approved in February according to Dr. Burke. We are at about 25% for the first three months. We are on track through May. Terry doesn't see any unforeseen problems. Okay to move forward.

Motion to adjourn was made by Mark Downey seconded by Dr. Burke. All in favor. The meeting adjourned at 1:40 p.m.
